Cole leaves Nam Singh with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nam Singh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cole sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nam Singh somewhat. Salvatore Cole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gyra Nam Singh. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Cruz wanted to stand there but Cole had control of the position. Cruz sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cruz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cruz stays in close to Cole's body and controls the position. Cole has Cruz pulled in close to control his posture. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.#T1# Cole is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.#REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Cole fails with a takedown attempt. and Cole counters with a flying knee. Nice. Santos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cole. Santos cracks Cole with a good jab.#TD2# Santos drives through with a takedown into Cole's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Santos is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Let's hope that Santos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.#T1# Santos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control.
