Dirko feints and as Hale raises his hands in defense, Dirko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hale keeping moving, preventing Dirko from controlling successfully. #SUB#
Hale has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dirko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hale is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR#
Dirko wants to control the action here but instead Hale manages to pass to full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnsen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Hale swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Johnsen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hale circles away quickly and effectively.

Johnsen is trying to break the clinch but Hale has him pressed against the cage. #TD#
Hale pulls Johnsen into guard.
Johnsen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hale is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
