Nine drives through with a takedown into Jurgs's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Nine wants to control from the top but Jurgs keeps moving.
Jurgs looking for a sweep. Not yet Jurgs, not yet.
Jurgs seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Nine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jurgs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nine postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
My spies in Cozad MMA New York inform me that Nine has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Elof Jurgs was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
