#R1##TD2# Mize decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mize looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Mize slows the pace down in half guard. Mize works his way into full mount! Mize throwing strikes here but Patton is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mize lands a big elbow. Mize controlling his opponent. #T1# Let's hope that Mize has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Patton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mize throwing strikes here but Patton is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Mize wants to take his opponent's back but Patton doesn't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mize unloads with some shots from mount but Patton bucks and avoids them well.
#T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mize controlling the pace for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mize sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Mize controlling the position easily from mount. #SUB2# Mize working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. #T3##SUB2# Mize looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. #T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.#SUB2# Mize goes for an armbar but Patton turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Patton. Mize should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Mize is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. #ES2# Mize uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Mize throws a sloppy head kick and Patton moves out of range easily. As Mize tries to get set, Patton tries to push him back and clinch up but Mize manages to avoid the attempt.#TD2# Mize feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mize loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mize not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mize keeping moving, preventing Patton from controlling successfully. Patton preventing the sweep. Mize is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.#TD2# Mize manages to pull guard.

#R1# A right-left combo lands from Soriano. Soriano throws a right hand that Patton ducks under and follows up with a left that Patton also avoids with ease. Patton fails with a takedown attempt. Patton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Soriano rushes Patton with punches - Patton moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Patton goes down! Soriano follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

#R1# Kortez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. #TD2# Kortez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Patton sprawls well initially but Kortez persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Patton scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Kortez manages to mount him!
Kortez breaks from Patton's wrist control and lands an elbow. Kortez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Patton is looking to escape. Patton is working to get back to half guard.
Kortez wants to control the pace but Patton is squirming around nicely. #T1# Kortez landing punches. Patton is squirming around, avoiding Kortez 's attempts to control the action. Patton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kortez on the ground. Patton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kortez lands a couple of good shots and Patton has given up his back, trying to escape the position!#T2# Kortez struggling to land strikes to the head as Patton covers up. Patton staying out of range there. Patton wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Welcher misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Patton takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Patton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Welcher circles away. Welcher looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Welcher misses with a double jab.

Dylan Welcher seems to be getting the better of the standup.#T4# Patton on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Welcher might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Welcher rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Patton moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Welcher works Patton's body with a nice hook. Patton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Welcher but Welcher pushes him off and we're back to square one. Welcher looks to land a combination but Patton avoids it well. Patton feinted with a counter takedown. Patton shoots for a takedown but Welcher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Welcher throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
