#R1# Berg misses with a wild body shot. Berg swings for the body but Lister moves out of range.
#TD# Berg scores with a takedown into Lister's guard. Berg sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lister's guard. #SUB# Berg is working for a kimura but Lister is defending it quite comfortably.
Lister on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lister wants to control but Berg is keeping busy and won't allow it. Berg moves into full mount! Lister won't be happy about that! Berg lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.#T1# Berg takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Berg lands a couple of good shots and Lister has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Lister looks winded! Berg lands an elbow to the side of the head. Berg is not going to allow Lister to sit and survive in this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Berg working for the choke. Berg controlling well, preventing Lister from escaping the position.
Lister takes a big shot to the side of the head.
#ROC# Lister is rocked!#T2# Berg controlling the position well here. Lister rolled but Berg kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Lister is still in real trouble! Can Berg finish him? Berg lands a series of strikes from the back and Lister goes limp! The ref jumps in to save him!

#R1# Rodriguez scores with a nice right hand.
Rodriguez throws a half hearted mid kick. Rodriguez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rodriguez punishes Lister's body with a nice straight punch. Lister has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Lister dives in for a single leg takedown but Rodriguez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Lister fails to land the takedown. The fight stays on the outside here - Lister looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nice body punch from Rodriguez. Rodriguez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lister moves out of range and avoids them all easily. No luck for Lister with that takedown attempt. Mark Rodriguez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Lister. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lister has a takedown stuffed. Rodriguez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rodriguez misses with a head kick.
#T1# Rodriguez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lister. Rodriguez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rodriguez. Rodriguez lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lister backs up against the cage.
#TD2# Lister closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Lister looks winded! Rodriguez is trying to buck Lister off. Rodriguez taking a bit of punishment here - Lister scoring with strikes. Rodriguez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rodriguez is trying to escape and get back to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Rodriguez seems a little lost for a moment, as Lister dominates the positioning. Rodriguez pushes Lister away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lister gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.#T2##SU2# Lister stands up. Lister walks into a stiff left hand from Rodriguez. Lister showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rodriguez.
Rodriguez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rodriguez wants it to stay on the feet. Rodriguez went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Mark Rodriguez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. No luck for Lister with that takedown attempt. Rodriguez lands a hook that stumbles Lister back into the cage. Rodriguez follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Lister to the canvas! Rodriguez pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Lister has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

#R1# Lister throws a combination that misses #TD# so Grant counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. #ES2# Lister has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Grant off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Grant shoots for a takedown but Lister saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lister changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grant tries to avoid it but Lister manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grant to the ground. Grant escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Grant tries to counter by clinching up but Lister breaks away and moves out of range. Lister throws a lazy head kick and Grant counters with a left to the body. Grant tries for a takedown but Lister sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Grant fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenton Grant. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grant darts in looking for a takedown but Lister gets double underhooks and turns Grant into the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.#CL2# Lister moves into range and clinches up with Grant. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. The referee calls for Grant to work.
#T1# Grant being controlled against the cage. Grant tries to pull guard but Lister forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Grant is looking to break free of the clinch but Lister has double underhooks. Lister missing with knees to the body.
#TD2# Lister ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lister no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Lister seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Lister wants to stand and escape but Grant is having none of it. Grant missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grant with a flurry of punches that miss. Lister looking for a sweep. Not yet Lister, not yet. #SUB2# Lister is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Grant rolls with it to try and escape but Lister cranks on the arm and Grant is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dean Lister! Dean Lister gave a mention to Dauntless in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
