Ferrari scrambles back to his feet. Head scores with a jab to the jaw. Ferrari swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Head seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Ferrari ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Head moves away. Head misses the shot to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Head. Ferrari does a little dance to reset his feet. Head has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Men Only. No Liberals ! in the buildup to the fight. Ferrari is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

#R1# Pulkkinen is looking to slow Ferrari down with leg kicks. Ferrari looks to land a left hand but Pulkkinen moved out of range nicely. Ferrari uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pulkkinen has time to react.#CUT2# It looks like Pave Pulkkinen has been cut. Ferrari looks to land a combination but Pulkkinen avoids it well. Pulkkinen swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Ferrari throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pulkkinen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ferrari.
Pulkkinen throws a lazy head kick and Ferrari counters with a stiff right hand. Ferrari lands a jab to Pulkkinen's midsection. Ferrari has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Pulkkinen jabs at Ferrari's body. Nice uppercut lands for Pulkkinen. That snapped Ferrari's head back.

#R1# Lawson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.#CUT# It looks like Preston Lawson has been cut. Ferrari scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lawson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lawson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ferrari counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Lawson's coach down at 3Band MMA ($800/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lawson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Lawson looks winded! Lawson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Lawson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Ferrari scores with a body shot.
BAM! Ferrari delivers a spinning backfist that drops Lawson like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ferrari's guard. Harris Jr is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. #SU# Harris Jr stands and steps away. Ferrari gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. #TD# Harris Jr dives in and scores a takedown into Ferrari's guard. Harris Jr seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ferrari looking for a sweep. Harris Jr tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ferrari avoids it. Harris Jr is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ferrari is defending well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Butch Harris Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Harris Jr tries to score a body lock takedown but Ferrari shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Harris Jr jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ferrari walks away with a smile on his face. Harris Jr gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Harris Jr getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Ferrari throws the left hand but Harris Jr avoids the punch easily. Harris Jr misses with a two punch combination.

Ferrari has Harris Jr pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Harris Jr manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
