Brown wants to pass the guard but Wales is keeping the position. Brown is working hard here to advance position. Wales looks to move to half guard but instead Wallace has passed into mount! Damn! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Waters is still in real trouble! Can Wales finish him? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wales controlling the pace. Waters avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wales. Waters tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Wales has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Wales lands with some strikes. Wales lands a big elbow - Waters is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Waters is forced to tap out!

#R1# Wales takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Akira goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Akira works over Wales's head and body with a nice combination. Wales takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Akira throws a right and a left that both miss. Akira throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Curtis Akira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! A decent looking cross lands there for Wales. Wales moves away from the strike by Akira. Akira misses with the combination.
And Wales tries to counter it with a takedown but Akira pushes his down on his head and steps out. Akira goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Wales ducks under a wild hook from Akira. Akira scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Wales dodges the punch combination from Akira.

Wales sizes up Akira with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Akira shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wales eats them both and turns towards Akira to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Akira swings and misses with a hook to the body.
