Cortez lands a nice shot to the body.
Cortez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Brown looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Brown looks to clinch
and Cortez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cortez seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cortez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Brown fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A nice combination there by Brown.

Cortez dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Brown stiff and motionless on the mat!

After winning the bout, Rafael Cortez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

Anderson tries to clinch but Cortez moves out of range.
Anderson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cortez defends it nicely.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cortez as he avoids it easily.

Rafael Cortez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duke Anderson.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cortez now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Cortez clobbers Amadeus with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Cortez scores with a jab to the jaw.
Amadeus looks to score with a jab to the body but Cortez is just out of range.
Cortez looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Cortez feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Amadeus sprawling to the canvas! Amadeus rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cortez finish him?!

and Cortez scores with a counter punch that sends Tai to the canvas! Cortez smells blood - he's punishing Tai with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Tai has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
