A telegraphed takedown attempt from Blanca is defended easily by Rice. Rice appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Blanca defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rice.#TD2# Blanca bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lima is trying to push Rice away but Rice has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Lima is trying to break the clinch but Rice has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lima tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rice just stands there and leans against the cage. #SUB2# Lima thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. #T1# Lima stands and throws Rice's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cabuenas appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Cabuenas shoots for a takedown but Rice saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rice tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cabuenas swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rice wants to clinch and Cabuenas counters with a lovely shot to the body. Cabuenas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rice tries to avoid it but Cabuenas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rice to the ground. Rice escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cabuenas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rice circles away quickly and effectively.
