#R1# Gilms defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bear. A swing and a miss from Gilms. Bear is looking to counter with head kicks. Bear bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Gilms scores with a hook. No luck for Bear with that takedown attempt. Gilms lands a nice looking body shot.
Gilms missing with a left hand there. Bear was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Gregory Gilms seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL2# Gilms moves into the clinch successfully.
Gilms scores with a nice hook to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A short right from Gilms. #ROC2# Bear is rocked! Gilms effectively controlling the action here. Oh Bear is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Bear has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gilms avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conner Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gilms taking a breather. Bear seems to have got his legs back now.#T1# Bear has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gilms is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Bear wants to stall.
#KD2# Gilms drops Bear onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Bear is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!#CUT2# It looks like Conner Bear has been cut. Gilms creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Bear with a big uppercut! Bear tries to clinch up but Gilms pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Bear to the mat! Bear covers up and Gilms unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gregory Gilms! A relieved looking Gregory Gilms thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

#R1# Bear looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bitch is fending him off so far but Bear persists. Nope, Bitch circles away and we're back to standing. Bitch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bear tries to avoid it but Bitch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bear to the ground. Bear escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bear follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Horrible takedown attempt by Bear or perhaps it was just good defense by Bitch, which made it look bad. Bitch is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Bear. A head kick misses from Bitch. Bear looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Iwill Bitch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conner Bear.#TD# Bitch looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Bitch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bear on the ground.#SUB2# Bitch wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Bear's closed guard. He's half up but Bear has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Bear pivots and extends the arm, Bitch falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Bear! Well done that man!

#R1# Janvier moves to clinch but Bear breaks away and Bear counters with a three punch combo that has Janvier backing up. Janvier nods at Bear to acknowledge the strikes.#TD# Janvier darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.#SUB# Janvier is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bear defends it well. Janvier seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bear does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bear is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bear keeping control of the position. Janvier trying to control the action but Bear is working from the bottom. #T1# Bear is trying to stand.

Janvier wants to control but Bear is keeping busy and won't allow it. Janvier is staying active underneath Bear, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Janvier really wants to buck Bear off and get back to his feet. Bear is landing with some decent strikes but Janvier is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Bear content just to control the position here. Janvier is working to get back to half guard.

#R1# Vanwinkel on the wrong end of a nice jab. Bear throws a push kick but Vanwinkel slaps the foot to one side. Vanwinkel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bear defends well and Vanwinkel ends up having to push Bear into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Bear tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vanwinkel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bear somewhat. As Bear tries to get set, Vanwinkel tries to push him back and clinch up but Bear manages to avoid the attempt.#TD2# Bear fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vanwinkel to the ground. Bear is now in Vanwinkel's guard.#ES# Vanwinkel has his feet on Bear's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. #CL# Vanwinkel moves into the clinch.#BC# Vanwinkel manages to break the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bear throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
