#R1# Tito shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tito gets slowly back to his feet.#CL2# Smith has taken the fight to the clinch.
Smith has Tito pushed against the cage. Smith lands an elbow inside that Tito shrugs off. #CUT2# It looks like John Tito has been cut. Tito has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Smith avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tito tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Tito. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith stops a takedown attempt from Tito.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tito has had enough of the clinch but Smith keeps him there for the moment. Smith's coach down at Kangaroo's MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Smith's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Tito can't get the takedown.

Smith avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tito.
Tito drops down looking for an ankle pick but Smith pulls his leg out and moves away.
#CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. Smith lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Smith comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. #CUT2# John Tito's cut is getting worse. Smith lands a damaging elbow. Tito blocks an elbow strike. Smith comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Tito trying to control the position but instead, Smith has worked for underhooks and has pushed Tito into the cage. Nice elbow from Smith. #CUT2# John Tito's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.#T2# Tito is trying to drag Smith to the mat but Smith just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Smith stalls. Tito has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smith comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. #CUT2# Jeez, John Tito's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at John Tito's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Aaron Smith! After winning the bout, Aaron Smith thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. The defeated John Tito had this to say: 'I appreciate all the support I have gotten leading up to this fight. It means a lot to me to receive so much love and support. This is not the end, but merely a chance to prove my strength.'.

#R1# Beasley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tito moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Beasley lands a leg kick that knocks Tito off balance momentarily.#CL# Beasley drives through and clinches with Tito against the cage.
Beasley looking to slow down the pace here.#TD2# Tito has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Beasley is trying to keep an underhook but Tito manages to get the takedown into half guard. Beasley manages to get to full guard.
Tito working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Tito postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. #CUT2# It looks like Willard Beasley has been cut. Tito stands up over Beasley, holding on to his feet. Tito throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Beasley is out cold! Tito lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
