#R1##CL2# John rushes Rat and presses him up against the cage. Rat is trying to pull guard but John turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.#TD2# John gets control of Rat's arms and successfully pulls guard. John will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. John has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. John looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. John is adopting a defensive guard. Rat trying to control but John is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# John is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rat is aware though and is defending well.#T1# John trying to control the position.
Rat has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.#SUB2# John working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rat doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rat manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. #SUB2# John working for a triangle but Rat defends it easily.
#SUB2# John had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rat defends it easily. Rat wants to stand but John is controlling his posture from full guard. #SUB2# John pushes a forearm under Rat's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Rat is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
