Jennings bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Frye has one of Jennings's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Jennings wants to stand but Frye has his arm trapped.
You can see the frustration on Frye's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jennings is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Frye's shoulder. That is not cool.
Frye is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jennings off and has taken his back!
Jennings wants to get back to his feet.

Jennings felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.#T1#
Frye's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jennings closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Frye quickly recovers to half guard.
Jennings wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frye keeps working.
Frye is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jennings can do to turn this around?

Frye has hold of Jennings's hands but Jennings slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Jennings is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Frye sees it coming and defends easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jennings has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Frye defend it? Jennings steps over the head and cranks it - Frye is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jennings!

Rice wants to clinch but Jennings slips to the side
and Jennings cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.#CL#
Rice gets a clinch.
Rice tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jennings's elbow. #TD#
Rice jumps guard and drags Jennings to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Rice controlling the position.
Rice can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jennings controls the pace.
Rice knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jennings on the ground.

Rice is rocked!
Rice really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#SUB2#
Jennings drops back looking for a leg! Rice is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rice manages to kick Jennings off! Jennings jumps back into Rice's guard.
Oh Rice is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rice will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jennings stands up over Rice, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Jennings loads up on a big left hand. Rice felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Jennings looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Rice can't hide his disappointment, as Jennings celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Jennings!
