Watanabe fails with the takedown and Lourens counters with a nice low kick that buckles Watanabe's knee momentarily. Lourens stuffs the takedown. Watanabe doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lourens counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Connor Lourens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hayato Watanabe. Watanabe has his takedown stuffed and Watanabe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Watanabe shoots and misses and Lourens counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Watanabe gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lourens . Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Lourens . Watanabe shrugs it off though. Watanabe looks winded! Watanabe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lourens lands the left hand. #R1# Watanabe with a poor takedown and Speakeasy counters with a head kick. That will keep Watanabe thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! No luck for Watanabe with that takedown attempt. Speakeasy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Watanabe circles away. A thudding body kick lands there by Speakeasy!
Speakeasy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Watanabe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Speakeasy somewhat. Watanabe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Speakeasy avoids it really well and circles away. Dje Speakeasy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hayato Watanabe. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Speakeasy is looking to clinch. Speakeasy stuffs the takedown attempt from Watanabe. Watanabe gets slowly back to his feet. Watanabe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Speakeasy tries to avoid it but Watanabe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Speakeasy to the ground. Speakeasy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. #TD2# Watanabe shoots in for a takedown and gets it.#T1# Watanabe drops an elbow to the side of Speakeasy's head. Speakeasy controlling the position well. Watanabe seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Watanabe is nestled in close to Speakeasy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Speakeasy is trying to maintain the position but Watanabe is very close to passing his half guard. Speakeasy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Watanabe is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Watanabe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Watanabe lands with a punch from half guard. Watanabe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.#T2# Speakeasy has hold of Watanabe's hands but Watanabe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Watanabe prevents Speakeasy from improving his position. Watanabe landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Speakeasy is looking to escape. Watanabe winds up and cracks Speakeasy with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Speakeasy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Watanabe scores with a couple of nice shots. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Watanabe in particular looking to stall. Watanabe lands strikes from half guard. Speakeasy is breathing heavily. Watanabe lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Nice strikes from Watanabe there. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Oh Speakeasy is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#T4# Watanabe passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Speakeasy! Watanabe postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Speakeasy badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Watanabe around the waist but Watanabe pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Watanabe is the winner by TKO! Watanabe jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

#R1##TD# Watanabe closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Aggin quickly recovers to half guard. Watanabe drops an elbow to the side of Aggin's head. Aggin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Watanabe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Watanabe lands with a punch from half guard. Watanabe slips a nice elbow through Aggin's hands, connecting with Aggin's forehead. Watanabe lands with a punch from half guard. Watanabe scoring with strikes to the body and head. #ROC# Aggin is rocked! The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Watanabe lands a nice short elbow. Aggin is still in real trouble! Can Watanabe finish him? Aggin is trying to stand back up but Watanabe is controlling him
Watanabe scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Watanabe controlling the position here and throwing strikes from the top. Nice elbow lands there... and another... and another... oh, Aggin is out! Watanabe gets to his feet and admires his work - nice finish!

Carpenter sizes up Watanabe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Watanabe shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. #ROC# Watanabe is rocked! Watanabe closes the distance and clinches up with Embolo, looking for a takedown. Watanabe pushes Embolo against the cage but Embolo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Embolo now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Watanabe with a lazy takedown attempt letting Embolo counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hayato Watanabe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Watanabe fails with the takedown and Embolo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Hayato Watanabe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
