Island trying to keep a closed guard but Sagaki is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sagaki trying to control the position from guard on top but Island is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Island seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Island working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sagaki. Evgeni Lomachenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mister Island. Island appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Thomas's coach down at Chris Leben KO Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Thomas's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. A cross from Thomas lands. Thomas lands a body shot.
Thomas scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Thomas throws out a powerful jab.#ROC2# Island is rocked! Thomas connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Island to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Thomas!

Chugman slips nicely into half guard. Chugman is just content to waste time from the top position. Island takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. #R1# Peidis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Island. Peidis connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Island with a poor takedown and Peidis counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Peidis digs a good hook to Island's body.
Island throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Peidis's waist but Peidis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Island off to one side. Peidis now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Peidis just misses with a punch to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Island. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mister Island. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice inside leg kick there by Peidis. That's going to slow Island down. Island darts in looking for a takedown but Peidis gets double underhooks and turns Island into the cage. Peidis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Island has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Island on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Kent definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Good exchange - Kent coming out on top. Sloppy strikes from Kent. Those never looked like landing. Island tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kent defends well and Island ends up having to push Kent into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kent lands with a nice body punch. Island fails with the takedown and Kent counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kent throws a body punch but Island moves out of range. Island tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Island shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kent but Kent pushes him off and we're back to square one. Clark Kent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Island shoots in but no luck this time. Hercules works the jab nicely. Hercules throws a combination that misses #TD# and Island counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. #SUB# Island drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Island jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hercules is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Island dives into side control.

They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Island hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
