#R1# Head waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vasquez. Vasquez moves out of range as Head strikes. Vasquez keeps the fight on the outside. Vasquez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Head misses with an uppercut. Vasquez saw that one coming. Head connects with a looping right hand.
Head throws a hook but Vasquez blocks it. Vasquez throws a counter combo. Vasquez slips under a jab. Vasquez is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Vasquez swings for the body but Head moves out of range.
Vasquez avoids the body shot from Head.
Vasquez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Head throws a shot from downtown. Vasquez moves away and avoids it. A nice side step and Vasquez releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Vasquez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Head sees it coming and avoids it easily. Head lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Head throws a looping overhand right but Vasquez ducks down to avoid it. #T2# Vasquez throws a body shot but no joy. Head tries to counter by clinching up but Vasquez breaks away and moves out of range. Vasquez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. It looked like Head wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Vasquez misses the shot to the body. Nice straight punches there by Vasquez. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Vasquez. Vasquez cracks Head with a right hand to the side of the head. Head clobbers Vasquez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Head throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vasquez doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Head lands a jab to Vasquez's midsection. We've been informed that Vasquez has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Vasquez drops his hands momentarily and Head takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Head throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Vasquez on the side of the head. Head swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vasquez shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Head misses with a right hand and Vasquez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Vasquez throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Head looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.#T4# Head throws out a loose jab but Vasquez uses good head movement to avoid it. Nice defenses there by Vasquez. Vasquez is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Head with a body shot. Vasquez stuns Head with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Head tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vasquez paws at him with a jab and circles away. Head lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A slow jab from Head misses its intended target. Head scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Head misses with a looping left. Vasquez is looking for the big counter here. Vasquez is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Head rather than just go for the knockout. Head misses with a lunging right hand
and Vasquez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Head swings for the body but Vasquez moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Head moves out of range of the strikes. Head lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Head punishes Vasquez's body with a nice straight punch. Vasquez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Crack Head dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. #R2# Head lands with a straight right. Vasquez didn't see that one coming. A lazy left from Head finds it's target. Head throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Head is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vasquez can do to turn this around? Vasquez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Head manages to avoid it. Head throwing a counter right hand but Vasquez manages to avoid it. Vasquez ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Crack Head is winning the standup battle so far. Jab by Head.#ROC# Vasquez is rocked! Vasquez ducks into an uppercut from Head and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!

Tuctic fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A counter left hand to the body from Vasquez misses its target. Tuctic dives in for a single leg takedown but Vasquez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A counter left hand to the body from Vasquez misses its target. Tuctic darts in looking for a takedown but Vasquez gets double underhooks and turns Tuctic into the cage. Juan Vasquez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sanu Tuctic. Vasquez throws a shot from downtown. Tuctic moves away and avoids it. Vasquez scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.#CUT# It looks like Sanu Tuctic has been cut. Vasquez misses with a body shot.

Vasquez is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Tuctic fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vasquez avoids it really well and circles away. Vasquez lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Tuctic head around and knocks him out cold! Vasquez hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

and Blubb takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Vasquez throws a body shot but no joy. Blubb has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Vasquez finds it's way round the side to connect with Blubb's head. Vasquez throws an overhand right that lands on Blubb's shoulder, as Blubb tries to avoid the shot. Vasquez slips under a jab from Blubb. A looping hook to the body misses from Blubb. Vasquez does a little dance to reset his feet. Vasquez connects with a single shot there.#CL# Blubb has closed the distance and engaged Vasquez in a clinch.
Vasquez is leaning against Blubb and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Blubb gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Vasquez struggles to land a body shot inside as Blubb controls his hands.

Sirinto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. An attempted straight right counter from Vasquez misses the target. Sirinto throws a leg kick which misses Vasquez's front leg but catches the back leg as Vasquez tries to avoid it. Sirinto misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vasquez.

He thinks about going to the ground but Sirinto looks back up at him and smiles so Vasquez waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

We've been hearing reports that Vasquez has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Vasquez punishes Jaa's body with a nice straight punch. Vasquez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jaa's coach down at Area51 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jaa's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Jaa throws an off balance right hand

Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Vasquez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ribeiro was well out of range. Poor timing from Vasquez. Ribeiro misses with an uppercut. Ribeiro misses with a wild body shot. Ribeiro definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ribeiro swings and misses with a shot to the body and Vasquez counters with a left to the body. Vasquez looks to throw the jab but Ribeiro is out of range. Ribeiro tries to counter by clinching up but Vasquez breaks away and moves out of range. Edson Ribeiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
