#R1# Lassiter fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Lassiter uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Butler takes one on the button. Butler shoots in looking for a takedown but Lassiter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Butler's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lassiter attempts a counter takedown but Butler avoids it well and moves away. Butler blocks a low kick nicely. Butler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lassiter.
Lassiter has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Furnace in the buildup to the fight. Nice jab there from Lassiter. #TD# Lassiter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Nice strikes from Lassiter there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lassiter seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Butler is still in real trouble! Can Lassiter finish him? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lassiter loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Butler scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Lassiter land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Lassiter stands and salutes the crowd.

#R1# Butler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.#TD2# Butler is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Knorr's half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Butler is trying to control the action in half guard but Knorr is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. #SUB2# Butler is looking for a kimura here.

#R1# Vila fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Vila. That's going to slow Butler down. Vila lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.#CUT# It looks like Jake Butler has been cut. Butler takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Vila looks to throw the jab but Butler is out of range. Vila lands a body shot.
Vila throws a big shot that misses. Butler tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Butler shoots and misses and Vila counters with a nice uppercut. Butler takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Vila connects with a body shot that sends Butler's belly button to the back. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vila scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Butler takes a shot right to the bread basket. Vila digs a good body shot into Butler's ribs. Butler tries to move into range but Vila moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.#T1##KD# Vila bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Butler! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

#R1# Swift throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mike Swift seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Butler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Swift avoids it really well and circles away. Butler checks a leg kick. Swift lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. #CUT2# It looks like Jake Butler has been cut. Swift will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Swift throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Butler appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Swift lands with a nice body punch. Swift throws a head kick that misses. #TD# Swift gets caught flat footed, as Butler shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Butler is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Butler trying to control the position from guard on top but Swift is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carter looks to land a combination but Butler avoids it well. Carter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Butler pinned against the cage. Butler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Carter moves in looking to clinch but Butler pushes him off.#TD# Butler feints and as Carter raises his hands in defense, Butler changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Butler is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Carter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Butler is controlling him. #SUB# Butler drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Butler jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #T1# Butler controlling from the top position. Butler pushes down on Carter's leg and manages to get into half guard. Butler uses his free foot to push down on Carter's thigh. Butler shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as White sprawls well. White wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Butler gets slowly back to his feet. Butler shoots for a double leg takedown but White sprawls well. He's pushed Butler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Butler fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Butler. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. White scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Butler doesn't seem bothered though. Butler goes for a double leg but White avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as White continues to drive forward. White now looks to counter with a shot at the body. And White tries to counter it with a takedown but Butler pushes his down on his head and steps out. White closes the distance and clinches up with Butler, looking for a takedown. White pushes Butler against the cage but Butler circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Butler misses with a takedown attempt - White sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.#TD# White tries to sprawl but Butler drives through with a takedown into half guard. White is staying active underneath Butler, who seems content to just control the action from this position. #SUB# Butler is working for a submission of some sort.
