#R1# Patel thuds a left hand into Diaz's body. Diaz slips under a jab from Patel.#CL2# Diaz moves into the clinch. Diaz is looking to break free of the clinch but Patel has double underhooks. A short body shot lands from Patel as the two fighters clinch.
Patel lands a body shot in the clinch.
Patel lands an uppercut. Diaz goes for a takedown attempt but Patel pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nice shot lands for Patel. Patel misses the jab. A nice side step and Diaz releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Patel dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Patel misses with a wild body shot. Diaz appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Diaz ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Patel lands a nice hook to Diaz's body. Diaz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Patel lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Diaz at a distance.

Diaz tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Patel lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A jab from Patel does it's job there. Patel cracks Diaz with an open hand slap. Patel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Genkis Patel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Diaz misses with a takedown and Patel counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Genkis Patel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nate Diaz. Diaz looks winded! Patel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diaz was well out of range. Poor timing from Patel. A punch combination from Patel misses. Patel punishes Diaz's body with a nice straight punch. Patel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Diaz on the side of the head. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Diaz.#T2# Patel connects with a crisp jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Patel swinging wildly here.

Patel is leaning against Diaz and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Diaz swings wildly with an uppercut but Patel uses good head movement to avoid it. Patel lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Diaz backwards. Diaz wants to stall.

Patel lands a hook to the side of the head. Patel lands a nice uppercut. Patel lands a right hand that snaps the head of Diaz backwards. A right handed body shot lands from Patel.

Patel working some nice short punches in the clinch. Patel lands a nice uppercut. Patel lands a shoulder strike. This has been an exciting period of action! Patel digs a right hand into Diaz's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Diaz's gas tank. Patel lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Diaz or not. #T4# Patel lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Diaz backwards. #ROC# Diaz is rocked! Diaz's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Diaz is still on wobbly legs! Can Patel finish him? A short right from Patel. Patel lands a nice shot to the body. Patel lands a big right hand that drops Diaz! The killer instinct kicks in and Patel finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Patel!
