#R1##TD2# Hicks gets caught flat footed, as Pinski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.#ES# Hicks has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Pinski has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.#TD2# Pinski gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pinski is thwarting Hicks's attempts to control the position. Pinski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hicks's head. Pinski prevents Hicks from improving his position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hicks trying to control from the bottom.
#ES# Hicks makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Pinski leaves Hicks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.#TD2# Pinski drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hicks is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR##T1##SUB# Hicks is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hicks trying to keep a closed guard but Pinski is proving a slippery customer.
Hicks really is a fat lump. Hicks keeping moving, preventing Pinski from controlling successfully. #SU2# Pinski gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hicks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pinski as he avoids it easily. #T2# Hicks misses with a head kick.
#TD2# Pinski gets the takedown into side control. Hicks is breathing heavily. Pinski content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Hicks struggling a bit here. Hicks bucks up and tries to throw Pinski off but instead Pinski has got his back! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pinski has good solid back control here. Hicks staying busy and making it hard for Pinski to control. #T3# Hicks is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
