Akira works over Wales's head and body with a nice combination. Wales takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Akira throws a right and a left that both miss. Akira throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Curtis Akira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! A decent looking cross lands there for Wales. Wales moves away from the strike by Akira. Akira misses with the combination.
And Wales tries to counter it with a takedown but Akira pushes his down on his head and steps out. Akira goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Wales ducks under a wild hook from Akira. Akira scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Wales dodges the punch combination from Akira.

Wales sizes up Akira with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Akira shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wales eats them both and turns towards Akira to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Akira swings and misses with a hook to the body.

#R1##TD# Magaddino is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Akira's half guard. Akira tries to roll over but Magaddino keeps him under control. Magaddino passes the guard and advances to mount! Akira looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Magaddino is in the full mount, landing strikes. Magaddino is in the full mount, landing strikes. Rordondo tries to score a body lock takedown but Akira shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Akira stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Akira, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
