Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Thiago Cavalcanti Azevedo and Yujiro Kushida. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Thiago Cavalcanti Azevedo! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Yujiro Kushida! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Azevedo is trying to pull guard but Kushida has him pressed against the cage. Azevedo jumps guard but Kushida stands there with Azevedo around his waist. Azevedo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Azevedo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Azevedo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kushida gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

 The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Azevedo looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kushida passes into side control.

#R1# Berg lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kushida at a distance.
Kushida throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've been told by Berg's head coaches at Valhalla Training Camp that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Jab by Berg. Berg with a hook.#ROC# Kushida is rocked! Berg cracks Kushida with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Kushida tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Berg pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Kushida is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bunda Berg! An out of breath Bunda Berg thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

#R1##CL2# Kushida clinches up with Richmond and pushes him back against the cage. Richmond really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#BC# Richmond's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kushida misses with a right hand #CL# and Richmond counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Richmond. A frustrated look appears on Richmond's face as he tries to break the clinch. Richmond tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Richmond tries to circle away but Kushida has him pinned against the cage. Richmond dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Richmond is trying to force a seperation but Kushida has the dominant position. Kushida being controlled against the cage. Richmond can't break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Kushida pulls guard successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1# Richmond will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#SUB2# Richmond is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kushida has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Richmond is looking to defend but Kushida has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Richmond! Kushida pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Richmond taps out and this one is all over!
