#R1# No luck with that takedown attempt from Kovalev. Kovalev looks to clinch #TD# and Aguiar counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Aguiar. Aguiar controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kovalev thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kovalev wants to control the position but Aguiar says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Aguiar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kovalev with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Aguiar controlling the action here.#T1# Kovalev has hold of Aguiar's hands but Aguiar slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Aguiar lands strikes from half guard. Aguiar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kovalev should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Kovalev is trying to get back to full guard. Ground and pound from Aguiar. Kovalev wants to control the action here but instead Aguiar manages to pass to full mount! #T2# Aguiar content just to control the position here. Aguiar lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Aguiar looking to control and managing it successfully. #T3# Aguiar is landing with some decent strikes but Kovalev is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Aguiar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kovalev takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Aguiar's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

#R1# Nice body punch from Dong. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Dong.
Kovalev moves in looking to clinch but Dong pushes him off. Kovalev misses with an uppercut
and Dong counters with a solid body kick. Kovalev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A head kick by Kovalev misses and Dong counters with an inside leg kick. Dong lands the left hand. Kovalev throws a sloppy head kick #CL# and Dong moves into the clinch. I was talking to Dong's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.#TD2# Kovalev decides to pull guard. Dong stops Kovalev from standing up. Dong advances to half guard. #SUB# Dong is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kovalev defends it well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dong has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Dong lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

#R1# Kovalev looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Pavlov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Pavlov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kovalev tries to avoid it but Pavlov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kovalev to the ground. Kovalev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. #TD2# Pavlov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kovalev on his heels. He'll look to pass Kovalev's guard now, I'm sure. Kovalev could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kovalev can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pavlov controls the pace. Kovalev wants to get back to his feet but Pavlov is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pavlov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kovalev tries to strike from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pavlov engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Pavlov stands and throws Kovalev's legs to the side, diving into side control. #T1##SUB2# Pavlov goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kovalev rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Pavlov's guard! Nice work there by Kovalev! Pavlov is pulling down on Kovalev's head. It's preventing any offense from Kovalev, at least for the moment.#SUB2# Pavlov looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Kovalev is defending well. Pavlov quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Kovalev has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Pavlov celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Kovalev is trying to break the clinch but Ruane has him pressed against the cage. A body shot lands from Kovalev.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kovalev has eaten all the pies! Ruane on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kovalev. Kovalev obviously looking to wear him down.

Kovalev shoots in looking for a takedown but Batson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kovalev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. #CUT2# It looks like Ben Jensen has been cut. Jensen slaps away a takedown attempt from Kovalev, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jensen appears to be looking for a counter takedown.#TD# Jensen gets a takedown into half guard. Jensen lands strikes from half guard. Jensen working the head and body with strikes. Jensen looks to score some points with some ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jensen connects with a nice short shot to Kovalev's temple. #ROC# Kovalev is rocked! Kovalev is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jensen scores with a couple of nice shots.
