That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonny Le Pizon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Putin throws a hook but Le Pizon blocks it. Le Pizon swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Putin getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Putin connects with a body shot. Putin lands with a nice body punch. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Putin. Le Pizon unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Putin wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Le Pizon celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

#CL# Nasir moves into the clinch.#TD# Nasir ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nasir no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Nasir has his hands on Putin's head, controlling the position. #SUB# Nasir is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Putin rolls with it to try and escape but Nasir cranks on the arm and Putin is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

#R1# Giles darts in trying to clinch and Giles takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #CUT2# It looks like Arlie Giles has been cut. Putin throws a hook but Giles avoids it easily. Giles takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Putin misses with a looping left. Giles attempts a counter takedown but Putin avoids it well and moves away. Giles takes a body punch but keeps moving. Putin getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Putin drops Giles with a straight right hand, right on the button! Putin follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

#R1# Little takes one on the chin but seems OK.
#CUT2# It looks like Rhett Little has been cut. Little gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Putin counters with a crisp right that sends Little to the canvas! Putin follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

#R1##CL2# Putin instigates a clinch. A quick uppercut on the inside from Ramirez. Ramirez doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Putin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Ramirez misses with a hook from the clinch. Putin prevents Ramirez from breaking the clinch. Ramirez jumps guard but Putin stands there with Ramirez around his waist. Ramirez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Conrad Putin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Putin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
As Putin looks to move away, Ramirez throws a big counter combo but Putin just gets out of the way. Putin drops Ramirez with a straight right hand, right on the button! Putin follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
