Hawk can't break the clinch.

Sledgehammer goes for a takedown attempt but Hawk pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A slow jab from Hawk misses its intended target. Sledgehammer connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Sledgehammer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hawk.#CL# Sledgehammer pushes Hawk up against the cage in a clinch. Sledgehammer makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.#ROC# Hawk is rocked!#BC# Sledgehammer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hawk lands a lovely overhand right. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Nice defenses there by Sledgehammer. You have to wonder if Hawk will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

#R1# The fighters circling - Nazir throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nevil Hawk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nazir moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Nazir throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nazir tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hawk sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nazir somewhat. Nazir takes one to the chin there. Hawk throws a hook but Nazir blocks it. Nazir is looking to counter the offense by Hawk and move into the clinch. Nazir moves out of range as Hawk strikes. Nazir attempts a counter takedown but Hawk avoids it well and moves away. Hawk throws a hook to the side of Nazir's head but Nazir sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nazir. A slow jab from Hawk misses its intended target. Hawk works Nazir's body with a nice hook. Hawk throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. #SUB2# Dar is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hawk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Hawk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dar on the ground. Dar trying to control the position but Hawk is working away. Hawk is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Dar just content to control the position. McDoughe's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hawk connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McDoughe scrambles back to his feet.
