Ribbler has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A low kick from Freeland is predictable there and Ribbler cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.#TD# Freeland scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. #ES2# Ribbler kicks Freeland off and gets back to his feet. David Freeland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL# Freeland clinches up with Ribbler and pushes him back against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Freeland closes the distance but Ribbler moves to the side and Ribbler counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ribbler finds Freeland's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Freeland flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Ribbler lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Freeland will be OK.
