Rusti tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.#TD2# Rusti closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chaney did well to prevent Rusti getting side control. Chaney pushes Rusti off but Rusti dives into side control.
Rusti landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Rusti just content to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Rusti wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Chaney, who protects the arm well. Rusti tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. #T1# Rusti advances to mount. Rusti fails to move to back control. Poor strikes thrown by Rusti there. Chaney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chaney controls the pace of the fight for a moment.#SU# Chaney stands and steps away. Lane gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Lane fails in his attempt to clinch. Chaney keeps the fight on the outside. Chaney is looking for a counter combo. McMac swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Chaney moves out of range as McMac strikes. McMac looks to throw the jab but Chaney is out of range. McMac rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Chaney counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McMac connects with a jab.#CUT2# It looks like Wm Chaney has been cut. Chaney gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Chaney bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Chaney slips a jab from McMac. Joe McMac is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.#T1# McMac with a body punch. A glancing blow.
