Hodge closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hodge lands in his opponent's guard.
Hodge throwing strikes from guard but Murphy blocks nicely.
Hodge definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hodge is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Waters throws out a loose jab but Murphy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Waters lands a slapping body shot.

Waters cracks Murphy with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Murphy looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Waters finish him?

It looks like Alex Murphy has been cut.
Waters lands a body shot.
Murphy is still on wobbly legs! Can Waters finish him?
Murphy looks winded!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Waters lands a nice shot to the body.
Murphy seems to have recovered his senses.

Murphy takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Murphy gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Waters gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Murphy is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

A relieved looking Caspian Waters thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Murphy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#SUB2#
Murphy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Nips content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Murphy has locked up a guillotine! Murphy's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Nips is holding on here and Murphy must be using up a lot of energy. Nips has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Murphy gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
