Torres seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Torres is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Miller stopping the sweep attempt from Torres. Miller is looking to stand up but Torres won't let him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Torres utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. This is a sustained period of stalling by Torres. Miller wants to get back to full guard. A jab lands there for Stevens. Stevens lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Miller stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stevens. Stevens throws a head kick that Miller semi-blocks.
Stevens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stevens lands a head kick. Miller smiles back at him and beckons him forward. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#CL# Miller rushes Stevens and presses him up against the cage. #R1# The fight stays on the outside here - Barrett looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Miller looks for the body kick but Barrett saw that one coming. Miller misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Miller takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Barrett shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Miller defends it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller clobbers Barrett with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Miller swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
#T1# Barrett shoots in but no luck this time. Barrett waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Miller. Miller lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Miller swinging wildly here.
