Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Bowen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Ellis connects with an inside leg kick. Ellis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bowen. Bowen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ellis's hands. Ellis moves out of range of the strikes. Ellis is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bowen is defended easily by Ellis. Ellis slips under a jab. #CUT2# It looks like Brandon Bowen has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bowen is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snapp cracks Bowen with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Snapp immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Bowen is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Snapp!

Bowen misses with a left hand and Morrison rattles Bowen with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Bowen tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Morrison dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Bowen stiff and motionless on the mat!

#R1# Good shot there by Bowen.#CUT# It looks like Frank McDonald has been cut. Bowen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches McDonald on the side of the head. Bowen throws out a loose jab but McDonald uses good head movement to avoid it. McDonald keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bowen. McDonald throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
McDonald jabbing away but nothing is landing. McDonald ducks under a wild hook from Bowen.#TD# Bowen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bowen throws a big elbow that misses. Bowen lands a couple of decent looking shots. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
