#R1# Sampson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
#CL2# Zergo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. #BC2# Zergo manages to break the clinch.
Zergo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sampson counters with a left and a right that stings Zergo. Sampson looks for a takedown but Zergo sprawls well.#TD2# Zergo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Zergo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. #SUB# Sampson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Zergo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #T1# Sampson trying to control the position.
#SUB2# Zergo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Zergo seems to have locked his on tight now - Sampson screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Zergo, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Mahdi Zergo!
