Suri ducks under a wild hook from Baertum. Suri thows a left - swing and a miss! Baertum pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Baertum throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Baertum throws a hook but Suri blocks it. A big left from Suri misses. Baertum looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Suri throws a big shot that misses. Baertum lands a nice shot to the body.
A jab from Baertum misses. Baertum throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Suri stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Suri steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Baertum. Suri has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Russian Bears Training Center in the buildup to the fight. Suri jabbing away but nothing is landing. Baertum tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. No joy there for Suri, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Suri looks to land a left hand but Baertum moved out of range nicely. Baertum moves out of range as Suri strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Suri. Suri is breathing heavily. Suri on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Suri seems to have got his legs back now. Kenshi Suri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baertum misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
#KD2# Baertum lands a left and a right that send Suri crashing to the mat, dazed. Baertum thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Suri throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Suri throws a lazy uppercut
and Baertum scores with a counter punch that sends Suri to the canvas! Baertum smells blood - he's punishing Suri with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Suri has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

#R1# Kortez tries to clinch up but Suri circles away and keeps his distance.#CL# Kortez moves into the clinch. Kortez tries for a takedown but Suri manages to get underhooks.
Suri lands on the inside with an uppercut. Suri tries to break the clinch but Kortez is controlling the position. #TD# Kortez gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Suri is looking for a sweep. Kortez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Suri trying to control but Kortez postures up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Kortez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Suri is just riding it out for now. Kortez eventually gives up the hold. #T1# Suri keeping hold of Kortez 's head, controlling as best he can. Kortez trying to control from half guard but Suri is working away. Kortez wants to pass to mount but Suri is defending the position. Kortez keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kortez prevents Suri from improving his position.#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.#SUB# Kortez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kortez is keen to just control but Suri is a slippery customer. Kortez passes the guard and advances to mount! #SUB# Kortez has hold of Suri's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Suri manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Suri is in all sorts of trouble here.

#R1# Suri with a hook.#CUT# It looks like August Casque has been cut. Suri dodges the punch combination from Casque.
Casque lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Casque takes one to the side of the head.
Casque fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Suri lands with a hook. Casque tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Casque seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Suri shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Casque is backing up but Suri catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Casque covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Suri Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenshi Suri! During a confident post fight interview, Kenshi Suri thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
