#R1##CL2# Callaghan takes the fight into the clinch. Our sources have told us that Shahen has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Shahen tries to circle away but Callaghan has him pinned against the cage. Callaghan blocking some punches.
Shahen comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. #CUT# It looks like Tommy Callaghan has been cut. Callaghan working aggressively here.
Shahen lands a damaging elbow. Shahen pressing his opponent against the cage. Callaghan is pushing Shahen up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. With the fighters up against the cage, Callaghan throws an elbow but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shahen is trying to stall.

Callaghan has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Shahen after a bit of a struggle. Shahen tries to stand but Callaghan is controlling from the bottom. #SU# Shahen gets to his feet - Callaghan follows without any prompting. #T3# Callaghan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shahen. As Shahen backs off Callaghan throws a huge counter combo but Shahen manages to avoid it all. Shahen has a takedown stuffed. Callaghan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shahen walks away with a smile on his face. This has been an exciting period of action! Shahen throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Callaghan blocks it with crossed arms. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Joe Shahen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shahen throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Shahen showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shahen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lara trying to hold on to Callaghan's head to control him but Callaghan postures up.
Callaghan is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Callaghan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Callaghan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Lara tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lara pushes Callaghan off looking to stand but Callaghan dives back in and keeps control.

It looks like Callaghan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Lara really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves.
