He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jack forces his way into half guard. Jack frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jack landing strikes from the mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Jack working for a submission but Zapata is keeping him at bay. Zapata tries to get back to half guard but can't. #T1# Jack content just to control the position here. Jack working away from the top, dropping strikes. Jack takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jack's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#SU# Jack get's back to his feet.#TD# Jack fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. and Rua counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#CUT# It looks like Eusebio Zapata has been cut. Jab, jab by Rua - just one landing. Zapata misses with a body shot
#TD# and Rua counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. #SUB# Rua drops back looking for a leg! Zapata is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zapata manages to kick Rua off! Rua jumps back into Zapata's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Rua is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rua is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rua pushes down on Zapata's leg and manages to get into half guard.#T1##SUB# Rua is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Zapata sees it coming and defends easily. Zapata tries to roll over but Rua keeps him under control. Zapata has a hand on Rua's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Zapata is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Zapata flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Rua anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Zapata and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Rua slips an arm under Zapata chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Rua has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Rua is squeezing on Zapata like an anaconda would it's prey. Zapata fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Zapata throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zapata tries to bum rush Turturro with a series of wild strikes but Turturro uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A slow jab from Zapata misses its intended target. Turturro looks for the body kick but Zapata saw that one coming. Turturro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zapata avoids it really well and circles away. Zapata lands a jab to Turturro's midsection. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zapata throws a predictable looking body shot

Zapata is fighting it off but Turturro persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Zapata's guard against the cage. #R1# Manley tries for a takedown but Zapata sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Zapata lands with a shot to the body. Manley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zapata circles away. Manley dives in for a single leg takedown but Zapata sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Eusebio Zapata has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iggy Manley. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Manley. Zapata lands a really nice looking cross but Manley seems unphased.

Manley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zapata. Manley feints the counter takedown. Manley ducks under a wild hook from Zapata. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zapata accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Zapata scores with a hook.#CUT2# It looks like Slot Waster has been cut. Zapata bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Waster's head backwards. A punch combination from Zapata misses. A cross from Zapata lands.#KD2# Oooooh!!! Zapata has knocked Waster down with a huge combo! Zapata steps away and waves a wobbly Waster back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!#ROC2# Waster is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zapata drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Waster right on the button. Waster goes down! Zapata follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Zapata gets the win via TKO!

OQuinn avoids a lazy jab quite easily. OQuinn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It connects and Lora has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Lora slips under a jab. Lora closes the distance and clinches up with Zapata, looking for a takedown. Lora pushes Zapata against the cage but Zapata circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lora walks into a stiff left hand from Zapata. Zapata clobbers Lora with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Lora slips under a jab from Zapata. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zapata paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Lora defending well as Zapata loads up on a big left hand. Lora is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Zapata scores with a jab. Lora acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Lora takes one on the button. Zapata is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Lora's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Lora was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
