As Takayama tries to get set, Potter tries to push him back and clinch up but Takayama manages to avoid the attempt. Takayama has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. Takayama looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Takayama should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Potter tries to clinch up. Takayama tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Reki Takayama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Potter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takayama swats him away and circles back towards the center. Marquez throws a head kick that misses. As Marquez tries to get set, Potter tries to push him back and clinch up but Marquez manages to avoid the attempt. Marquez throws a lazy head kick #CL# and Potter counters into the clinch. Nicely done. #TD# Potter turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Potter manages to end up in side control. The strikes coming from Potter are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Potter taking a breather here. Potter continues to stall. Potter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Marquez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Potter asserts his dominance and retains side control. Marquez is working to avoid the ground and pound but Potter connects with a decent elbow. Marquez is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Potter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Potter works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Potter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Razum utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Potter throws a big right hand that misses. #SUB2# Razum is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Potter is looking to work some ground and pound but Razum has wrist control. Potter scoring with some ground and pound. Potter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pai swings wildly with an uppercut but Potter uses good head movement to avoid it. A frustrated look appears on Potter's face as he tries to break the clinch. Pai tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Potter avoids it. Pai pushes Potter back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. #TD# Potter pulls guard. Potter wants to get back to his feet but Pai is in a dominant position and won't allow it. #SU2# Pai stands up from guard. Let's bang! Potter fails with an attempt to clinch.
A right-left combo lands from Potter. Potter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pai paws at him with a jab and circles away. A little jabbing left from Pai on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Pai lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
