Jacobs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Chamba counters with a straight right hand. Jacobs sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Jacobs is breathing heavily. Chamba turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A good leg kick by Chamba. Chamba scores with a one two! Jacobs had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Chamba lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Chamba thuds a left hand into Jacobs's body.#KD2# Chamba drops Jacobs with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jacobs looks back up at him and smiles so Chamba waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

He's got his arms around Friedman's waist but Friedman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jacobs off to one side. Friedman lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Colnago takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Colnago lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've been told by Paulin's head coaches at House of 1000 Corpses that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Paulin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. No luck for Jacobs with that takedown attempt. Jacobs misses with a takedown attempt enabling Paulin to counter with a crisp jab. Thierry Paulin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodney Jacobs. Paulin lands with a nice body punch. Paulin scores with a head kick.
