This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sapolu creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Funaki with a big uppercut! Funaki tries to clinch up but Sapolu pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Funaki to the mat! Funaki covers up and Sapolu unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mickey Sapolu!

Funaki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Funaki went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Lydon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Funaki avoids a punch combination nicely.

Lydon lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Funaki out cold! Funaki is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
