He must have been on the weights. Duk Koo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kirby back to the cage. Duk Koo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Kirby throws a sloppy head kick and Duk Koo moves out of range easily. Kirby misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kirby works over Duk Koo's head and body with a nice combination. Kirby throws out a loose jab but Duk Koo uses good head movement to avoid it. Duk Koo lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Duk Koo connects with a combination that backs up Kirby into the cage. Duk Koo lands a flurry of punches that gets past Kirby's guard. Kirby is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Duk Koo bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. #R1# Sudo tries to move into range but Duk Koo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Sudo tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Duk Koo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Duk Koo swinging wildly here.

and Duk Koo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Duk Koo connects with a looping right hand.
Aoki Sudo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Duk Koo swats away the attempt to clinch by Sudo. Duk Koo unleashes a big counter combination but Sudo bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duk Koo's coach down at Closed was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Duk Koo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
