#R1# Gibson lands with a nice body punch. #CL# Gibson tries to keep at a distance but Pearson has taken the fight into the clinch. Pearson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gibson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.#TD2# Gibson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pearson uses from the top position. #SUB2# Gibson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pearson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gibson controls Pearson momentarily but Pearson frees himself. #SUB# Gibson wants to reverse the position here. Pearson has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Gibson is forced to tap! Gibson looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Walton Pearson!
