Miller let out a lung full of air as it connected. Garfield pushes Miller back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Garfield lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Miller has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Ofique throws a body shot but no joy. Ofique ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Miller moves away. Ofique lands a nice looking body shot.
Miller gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ofique counters with a nice body shot. Ofique changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Miller looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lazlo Ofique has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Miller. Ofique lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Miller backs up against the cage.

Svendettee dips to his left and cracks Miller with an uppercut! We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Miller has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Svendettee stuffs the takedown.#CL2# Miller clinches. Miller tries to pull guard but Svendettee won't allow it.
Miller keeps control of Svendettee as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Miller changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Svendettee fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kolten Svendettee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Miller. Miller misses with a takedown attempt and Svendettee counters with a straight right hand.#KD# Svendettee drops Miller with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Miller looks back up at him and smiles so Svendettee waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Miller throws an overhand right that lands on Svendettee's shoulder, as Svendettee tries to avoid the shot. Svendettee throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Miller. Svendettee steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Miller is out on his feet! Svendettee sets himself and nearly takes Miller's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Kolten Svendettee decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

#R1# Aure tries to clinch but Miller is having none of it. Aure tries to close the distance and clinch but Miller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Miller drops down looking for a counter takedown but Aure sprawls and moves away. Aure moves in looking to clinch but Miller pushes him off. Miller swats away the attempt to clinch by Aure. Miller changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. The fight stays on the outside here - Aure looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Miller appears to be looking for a big counter. Miller misses with a two punch combination.
As Miller backs off Aure throws a huge counter combo but Miller manages to avoid it all. Aure is looking to clinch. #TD# Aure gets caught napping as Miller dives in and scores a takedown. Aure manages to retain guard. Miller advances to half guard. #SUB# Miller is looking for a kimura here.
Miller is figuring out what he wants to do next.#T1# Miller not landing any meaningful shots this time. Miller uses his free foot to push down on Aure's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Aure. #T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.#SUB# Miller is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Aure is surviving well by controlling Miller's body position as best he can.
