#R1# MacDonald wants to clinch. MacDonald fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. MacDonald stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and MacDonald wants it to stay on the feet. Wallace shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts MacDonald as he jumps to the side. MacDonald dives in for a single leg takedown but Wallace sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Wallace is looking to counter with a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MacDonald scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. #CUT2# It looks like Desmond Wallace has been cut. MacDonald shoots in for a takedown but Wallace shows good takedown defense. Desmond Wallace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al MacDonald. MacDonald has a takedown stuffed. MacDonald tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wallace paws at him with a jab and circles away.#T1# Wallace shoots in for a double leg but MacDonald sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A looping hook to the body misses from Wallace. MacDonald does a little dance to reset his feet. MacDonald is looking to clinch but Wallace is avoiding it.
#TD# Wallace bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. MacDonald throws a couple of elbows from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. MacDonald is looking to reverse the position. MacDonald really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wallace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. MacDonald is still trying to improve position. Wallace lands a decent elbow from side control. Wallace connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused MacDonald some visible discomfort.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! MacDonald is trying to control Wallace's posture but Wallace avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. MacDonald tries to get back to half guard but can't. MacDonald is trying to work for a sweep but Wallace has mounted him!#T3# MacDonald is working to get back to half guard.
#SUB# Wallace is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. MacDonald can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

MacDonald tries to hold on but Wallace pushes him away. MacDonald regains half guard. Wallace is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. MacDonald keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. MacDonald wants to control but Wallace is keeping busy.

Back to the action! #R2# MacDonald tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wallace sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten MacDonald somewhat. MacDonald fails miserably with a takedown attempt. MacDonald has a takedown stuffed. Desmond Wallace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al MacDonald. MacDonald tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wallace was well out of range. Poor timing from MacDonald.#TD# MacDonald tries to sprawl but Wallace drives through with a takedown into half guard. Nope, MacDonald circles away and we're back to standing. Wallace sets himself, and MacDonald steps forward looking for the clinch! Wallace avoids it this time. No luck with that takedown attempt from MacDonald. #T1##TD# MacDonald gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wallace to score an easy takedown into full guard. MacDonald is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Wallace dives into side control.
#REVB# MacDonald tries to buck Wallace off but Wallace is having none of it. Wallace will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wallace lands some shots froms side control. Wallace controlling the position from side mount. Wallace is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that MacDonald can do to turn this around?#T2##SUB# Wallace working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Wallace is looking to take a break and control but MacDonald is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wallace looks up at the clock and then as MacDonald takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Wallace smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
#T3# MacDonald takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. MacDonald is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Wallace gets to mount! MacDonald was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. #SUB# Wallace is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. MacDonald is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. MacDonald flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Wallace anticipates the leg and manages to get behind MacDonald and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Wallace slips an arm under MacDonald chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Wallace has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Wallace is squeezing on MacDonald like an anaconda would it's prey. MacDonald fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
