#R1# Road throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A little jabbing left from Nut on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Road tries to move into range but Nut moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Road's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Nut connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Road scrambles back to his feet. Nut falls off balance throwing a combination
#CL# and Road counters into the clinch. Nicely done. #TD# Road successfully pulls guard.
#SU2# Nut stands and steps away. Road gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. #TD# Road throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nut was covering up waiting for the punch and Road finishes the takedown easily into guard. Road is stalling in the full guard. #SU# Road stands up from Nut's guard - Road perhaps looking for a knockout. #T1# Nut misses with a few strikes there.
Nut scores with a jab to the jaw. Coco Nut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A punch combination from Nut misses. Nut throws a right hand that Road ducks under and follows up with a left that Road also avoids with ease. Road tries to counter with a takedown but Nut is quick to defend against it. Nut displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Nut throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
#TD# Road shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Road looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Road is pressing down on Nut's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nut is holding on for now. #T2# Road has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Road looking to control and managing it successfully. Road's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#T3# Road punishing his opponent with strikes. Nut looks winded! Nut taking shots to the head. Nut takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Road controlling the pace for now. Road landing strikes from the mount and Nut is in trouble! Road looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Road jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Nut manages to avoid the submission attempt. #T4# Road controlling the position. #SUB# Road is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Nut looks calm but he's in trouble here. Road gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Nut is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Road lets go of the hold and Nut can pop his arm back in it's socket.
