#R1##TD2# Chao fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Russo sprawls well initially but Chao persists and gets the takedown into half guard. #ES# Russo manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Chao keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. #BC2# Chao escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
#TD# Russo gets a double leg takedown into Chao's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chao trying to control the position.
Chao is pulling down on Russo's head. It's preventing any offense from Russo, at least for the moment. Chao is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Russo is controlling him. Chao is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Russo trying to control the position from guard on top but Chao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Russo preventing the sweep. Russo controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1# Russo trying to control but Chao is working from the bottom. Russo is really struggling to control Chao but he's trying to hold on to the position.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.#CL2# Chao closes the distance and pushes Russo back into the cage.#TD2# Chao successfully pulls guard.
Russo won't allow Chao to sweep him here. Russo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Russo trying to control but Chao is working from the bottom. Chao wants to sweep but no luck. #T2##ES2# Chao kicks Russo off and gets to his feet. Chao tries a head kick but it misses.

Sloppy strikes from Chao. Those never looked like landing. Russo is looking to counter the offense by Chao and move into the clinch.#TD2# Chao bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Russo tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Russo is working to get back to half guard.
Chao wants to control the pace but Russo is squirming around nicely. #T3# Chao tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Russo trying desperately to get to his feet.
Chao misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Chao controlling the position easily from mount. #T4# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Chao tries to control but Russo wriggling away. Russo avoids a series of strikes thrown by Chao.

Bong Chao dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2##CL2# Chao gets a clinch. #TD2# Chao is trying to trip Russo. He has hold of a leg but Russo is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Chao persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Russo is looking to stand back up but Chao counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Russo. #REVR# Well, if Chao is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Chao sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Russo defending well though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chao seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Russo is trying to stand.

Sheldon Russo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.#TD2# Russo tries to sprawl but Chao drives through with a takedown into half guard. Russo could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Chao not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Russo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Russo is in trouble now - Chao has advanced to mount! Chao controlling his opponent. #T4##SUB2# Chao goes for an armbar but Russo turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Russo. Chao has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Russo passes into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chao throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Bong Chao showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! #R3##TD2# Chao shoots in and bounces Russo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Chao throws a big elbow that misses. Russo scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chao trying to control but Russo is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Russo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chao is one step ahead there. Russo throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
#T1# Chao stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Russo swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.#SU2# Chao gets to his feet. Russo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Russo lands a jab to the head.
#TD2# Chao closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chao lands in his opponent's guard. Chao won't allow Russo to sweep him here. #T2# Chao's corner is telling him to maintain position. Russo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. #SU2# Chao stands and steps away. Russo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. #TD2# Chao shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Russo is trying to defend but Chao finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Chao works his way into full mount! Bong Chao has got the better of the ground game so far.#T3# Chao trying to control but Russo is having none of it. Chao is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Chao thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Chao has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Chao looking to control and managing it successfully. #SU2# Chao is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Chao tries to clinch but Russo is having none of it. Chao throws a head kick that misses enabling Russo to counter with a crisp jab. #CL2# Chao takes the fight into the clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#TD2# Chao turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Chao manages to end up in side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Bong Chao comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Chao has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
