Rivers is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Nevile is defending well. Rivers fails to pull guard.
Nevile wants a takedown.
Rivers really is a fat lump. Rivers jumps guard but Nevile stands there with Rivers around his waist. Rivers gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clark Rivers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nevile is defending well against a takedown attempt.#BC2# Nevile's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nevile getting the better of the striking in that exchange.#CUT2# It looks like Clark Rivers has been cut.#CL2# Nevile has Rivers up against the cage in a clinch.
Rivers fails to pull the fight into his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Nevile jumps into guard, dragging Rivers to the mat.
#SUB2# Rivers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nevile has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rivers has managed to get both his arms back between Nevile's legs - danger averted. Nevile looking for a sweep. Not yet Nevile, not yet. #T1# Nevile controlling Rivers's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#ES2# Nevile manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Rivers shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nevile fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Rivers get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Rivers stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Nevile runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
