Marduk misses with some punches.
Paulin misses with some punches.
Paulin tries to work over Marduk's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Paulin lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Paulin misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Paulin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Marduk backwards. #BC2#
Marduk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Paulin lands a big uppercut and Marduk crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Marduk looks OK. Paulin waves Marduk back to his feet!#ROC#
Marduk is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marduk comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Marduk is still on wobbly legs! Can Paulin finish him?
Paulin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marduk moves away.
Marduk seems to have recovered his senses.
Marduk thumps Paulin with a low kick.
Paulin tries a head kick but it misses.
Paulin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Paulin walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Marduk checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Marduk cracks Paulin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.#CUT2#
It looks like Thierry Paulin has been cut.#T1#
Marduk moves away from the strike by Paulin.
Paulin feints a jab and as Marduk dips his head, Paulin unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Marduk right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Marduk falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Paulin smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Thierry Paulin!
Thierry Paulin decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.

Pugberg takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Pugberg looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Marduk feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pugberg's calf.
Marduk thumps Pugberg with a low kick.
Marduk defending well as Pugberg loads up on a big left hand.
Marduk slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Pugberg wants to clinch
and Marduk counters with an outside leg kick.
Marduk scores with a push kick.#TD2#
Pugberg closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pugberg lands in his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marduk is trying to control the position but Pugberg postures up. #SUB2#

Pugberg controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Pugberg wants to pass the guard but Marduk is keeping the position.
Marduk looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Pugberg drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pugberg jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #T2#
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.#SUB2#

Pugberg drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Pugberg as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Marduk screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Pugberg! Nice submission victory there!
