Ingle stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Potamus. Good shot there by Potamus. Ingle misses with a two punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ingle has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Potamus finds it's way round the side to connect with Ingle's head. Ingle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Potamus counters with a slapping leg kick. Hippo Potamus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Ingle. A slapping body kick lands there for Potamus. Hippo Potamus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.#T1# Potamus scores with a spinning back kick! Potamus thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Ingle if he has to take too many more of those.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ingle not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ingle lands a couple of elbows. #R1# Limbtwister throws a hook but Ingle blocks it.#CL# Ingle clinches up with Limbtwister and pushes him back against the cage. Limbtwister tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ingle's elbow. Ingle is pressed up against the cage. Limbtwister has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ingle down to the mat. Ingle avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Limbtwister throws a body punch but Ingle moves out of range. Limbtwister has a takedown stuffed. Limbtwister shoots in looking for a takedown but Ingle manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Limbtwister's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ingle half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. We've been told by Ingle's head coaches at Cozad Amsterdam that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Joseph Ingle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lazerus Limbtwister.#TD2# Limbtwister feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. #R1##TD# Lightning tries to sprawl but Ingle drives through with a takedown into half guard. Ingle not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ingle winds up and cracks Lightning with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Ingle thows a huge punch but Lightning dodges it nicely.
Lightning tries to kick Ingle off but Ingle keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Lightning avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ingle. Lightning told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Lightning is looking to improve his position.

Phillips throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ingle is still on wobbly legs! Can Phillips finish him? We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ingle has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooten keeping moving, preventing Ingle from controlling successfully. Ingle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wooten works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ingle postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Wooten could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ingle postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Ingle is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Ingle stays in close to Wooten's body and controls the position. Ingle postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Wooten covers up, he's hurt! Ingle keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee...
