KiDonamir Jong Trumputinun decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. Child shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carter but Carter pushes him off and we're back to square one. Child fails with the takedown#TD# and Carter counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Carter. #ES2# Child scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Don Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Loom Child. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Child sprawls well. Child wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carter gets slowly back to his feet. Carter sets himself, and Child steps forward looking for the clinch! Carter avoids it this time. Child shoots in but doesn't get the takedown #TD# so Carter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Child wants to get back to his feet but Carter passes into half guard.

You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carter passes into side control, despite Child's attempt to control the position.
Child sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Child is concentrating on defense, preventing Carter from advancing position. Child wants to control but Carter is keeping busy.
Child really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Carter lands strikes from half guard. Carter throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. #T3##SUB# Carter maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Child could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Carter has cracked it and Child is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Carter!

#R1# Carter fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.#CUT# It looks like Matt Kinhte has been cut. Kinhte with a lazy takedown attempt #TD# and Carter counters with a takedown into side control. Kinhte manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Kinhte wants to take a breather but Carter is having none of it. Kinhte working over Carter with some ground and pound. Carter looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Well, if Kinhte is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Carter wants to control but Kinhte is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kinhte trying to mount his opponent but Carter defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kinhte is just content to waste time from the top position. Carter takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. #T1# Kinhte slips nicely into half guard. Kinhte stalling away here and it's allowed Carter to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Kinhte is working Carter over from the guard. Curt letting Carter take a breather here. Curt has had enough of the clinch but Carter keeps him there for the moment.#BC2# Curt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.#TD2# Curt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Rodd did well to prevent Carter getting side control. Carter lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Rodd is trying to get back to full guard. Carter not landing any meaningful shots this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Carter seems to be working for a kimura but Rodd defends the submission attempt. Rodd has a hand on Carter's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Carter takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!#T1# Carter prevents Rodd from getting the reversal. Price tries to free his leg and advance position but Carter is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Price is one step ahead there. Price trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Price postures up in Carter's guard and throws a big left but Carter blocks it. Price really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Carter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Carter holds on and takes a little breather. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Price is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Carter creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Price tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Carter just stands there and leans against the cage.

Niambo is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Carter is defending well for now. Niambo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carter pulls his leg out and moves away.
#CL2# Carter gets tackled into the cage by Niambo. Niambo maintains the clinch. Niambo tries to circle away but Carter has him pinned against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter misses with a hook to the ribs.

He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Carter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
