Bates lands a nice shot to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McGowan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bates - the referee stops the clock and McGowan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bates. McGowan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
McGowan shoots and misses
and Bates cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McGowan steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Bates. That one must have hurt.
McGowan looks winded!
Bates thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on McGowan if he has to take too many more of those.
McGowan ducks right into an uppercut from Bates.
Bates fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Bates has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ferocious Beast in the buildup to the fight.

Noah McGowan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bates is looking to slow McGowan down with leg kicks.

McGowan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bates connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McGowan scrambles back to his feet.

McGowan has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Farfan should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, McGowan has tightened it up now! Farfan should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Well McGowan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
