#R1##CL2# Marsh moves into range and clinches up with Assad.#BC2# Marsh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Assad connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Marsh's hands. Assad lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
#CL2# Marsh rushes Assad and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Assad is trying to force a seperation but Marsh has the dominant position.#TD2# Marsh lands a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Assad looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marsh is one step ahead there. Marsh lands a couple of elbows. Assad tries to land a sweep but no joy. Assad is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are battling for position here. Marsh manages to regain full guard. Nice work. #SUB2# Marsh is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
#T1##SUB2# Marsh has his foot on Assad's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Assad works his way back into a safe position though. Assad throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Marsh looking for a sweep. Not yet Marsh, not yet. #SUB2# Marsh is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Assad defends well. Assad in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Marsh has his hands on Assad's head, controlling the position. Assad throws a big right hand that misses. #T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Assad trying to control the position from guard on top but Marsh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marsh can do anything to dispel that myth. Marsh is trying to control the position but Assad postures up. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Assad checks a low kick from Marsh. Marsh lets loose with a powerful body kick. Assad will feel that in the morning. A looping hook to the body misses from Marsh. Assad does a little dance to reset his feet. Assad seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Marsh avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Marsh shoots in but Assad avoids the takedown attempt easily. Zach Assad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Assad scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Marsh misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Assad is looking to counter punch.#T3##CL2# Marsh closes the distance and clinches. Marsh fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Assad is trying to break the clinch but Marsh has him pressed against the cage. Marsh misses with a punch to the body.
#TD2# Marsh jumps into guard, dragging Assad to the mat.
Assad trying to control but Marsh is working from the bottom. Assad is really struggling to control Marsh but he's trying to hold on to the position.#SUB2# Marsh is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Assad is aware though and is defending well. Assad stopping the sweep attempt from Marsh.#T4# Assad in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Assad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#SUB2# Marsh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Assad gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Assad won't allow Marsh to get back to his feet. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Marsh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Assad landing some decent shots from guard. Assad throws a strike but Marsh rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVB##SU2# Marsh gets to his feet. Assad looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! #CL2# Marsh instigates a clinch. Marsh blocks an uppercut.
Marsh tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Assad smiles and moves away.
Zach Assad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stan Marsh. Assad throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Marsh on the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Stan Marsh will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2# Nice jab there from Assad. #ROC# Marsh is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!#CL2# Marsh moves into the clinch. Marsh is still on wobbly legs! Can Assad finish him? Marsh fails to pull guard.
Marsh seems to have recovered his senses. Marsh jumps guard but Assad stands there with Marsh around his waist. Marsh gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
#BC2# Marsh's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Assad digs a good hook to Marsh's body.
Marsh fails with a takedown attempt. Zach Assad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stan Marsh. Assad jabs Marsh to the body, keeping him at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marsh wants to clinch.#TD2# Marsh changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Assad looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.#T1# Assad is trying to improve his position. Assad wants to control but Marsh postures up. Assad prevents Marsh from moving into mount. Marsh working away. Stan Marsh has got the better of the ground game so far. Assad regains half guard. Assad is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Marsh tries to pass the half guard into mount. Assad knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. #SU2# Marsh stands up from half guard. #CL2# Marsh clinches. #T2# Marsh drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Assad gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Marsh tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Assad just stands there and leans against the cage. Marsh blocks an uppercut.

Marsh tries to pull guard but Assad forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Assad tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Assad swings wildly with an uppercut but Marsh uses good head movement to avoid it. Assad can't break the clinch.

Assad fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zach Assad is winning the standup battle so far.#T3# Assad circles away from the clinch attempt and Assad connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Assad misses the jab. Marsh is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Marsh showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Assad.

#TD2# Marsh throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Assad was covering up waiting for the punch and Marsh finishes the takedown easily into guard. Assad keeping moving, preventing Marsh from controlling successfully. Marsh throws a strike but Assad rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVR##T4# Assad wants to control from the top but Marsh keeps moving. #SUB2# Marsh has his foot on Assad's thigh. Zach Assad dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! #R3# Assad is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Marsh drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Assad defends it well. Assad displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Marsh. A punch combination from Assad misses. Zach Assad is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Marsh dives in and grabs Assad's left leg, looking for a takedown. Assad pushes down on Marsh's head and hops out. Marsh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Assad sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Marsh somewhat. Zach Assad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stan Marsh. A jab lands there for Assad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marsh misses with a series of wild punches.

Assad throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Marsh takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Assad just misses with a punch to the body.
Marsh staying out of range there. Marsh slips under a jab from Assad. Marsh takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Assad tried to score with a low kick but Marsh checks it. Marsh drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Assad defends it well.#TD2# Marsh closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Assad quickly recovers to half guard. Marsh throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Assad to regain full guard. Assad keeping full guard, as Marsh tries to pass. #T2# Marsh postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marsh stopping the sweep attempt from Assad. Marsh trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Marsh trying to control but Assad is working from the bottom. Marsh lands a couple of digs. This has been an exciting period of action! Assad working a defensive guard but Marsh passes into half guard.
#SUB2# Marsh is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Assad is just riding it out for now. Marsh eventually gives up the hold. Marsh is looking to take a break and control but Assad is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T3# Assad misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Marsh lands a couple of elbows.#T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Assad controls Marsh momentarily but Marsh frees himself. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Assad thuds a left hand into Marsh's body. Marsh takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Marsh shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Assad sprawls well. Assad wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Marsh gets slowly back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Assad crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Marsh - the referee stops the clock and Assad gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Marsh. Assad manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.#CL2# Marsh has closed the distance and engaged Assad in a clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Zach Assad showed his dominance in that final round. I think Assad has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
