Blades wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Blades lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Cruz darts in trying to clinch and Blades counters with a lovely straight right hand! Blades lands a nice shot to the body.
Benny Blades seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cruz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Blades manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Blades keeps Cruz at a distance using the push kick. Blades lands a slapping body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Blades lands a nice looking body shot.

Cruz is looking to get back to full guard here but Nomo has managed to pass to side control instead. Nomo advances nicely into full mount. Nomo controlling his opponent. Nomo landing punches. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baxter scores with a jab to the body. Cruz takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Baxter connects with a solid leg kick. Cruz tries to clinch up. That's going to sap some energy.#TD# Experiment throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cruz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Experiment is in Cruz's guard. Experiment trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Experiment stays in close to Cruz's body and controls the position.
