A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Elliot.

Elliot's coach down at K.O. Koala's was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Elliot's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Cassidy lands a body shot.
Elliot changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cassidy tries to avoid it but Elliot manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cassidy to the ground. Cassidy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cassidy dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Elliot gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cassidy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Elliot fails with the takedown
and Cassidy counters with a left to the body.
Elliot fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Elliot definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Elliot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Elliot takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Elliot darts in looking for a takedown but Cassidy gets double underhooks and turns Elliot into the cage.

Elliot drops his hands momentarily. Cassidy doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Elliot staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Elliot doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Huiha is working an open guard so Elliot takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Elliot fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Huiha avoids it really well and circles away.
Huiha half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Huiha slaps away a takedown attempt from Elliot, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Elliot displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Huiha.
As Huiha backs off Elliot throws a huge counter combo but Huiha manages to avoid it all.
Huiha shoots in for a double leg but Elliot sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
